„Lebensfluten – Tatensturm“ – new exhibition in a new light
Since summer 2012, the Goethe National Museum in Weimar has been presenting itself with a new exhibition and in new light. In collaboration with Hoffmeister, the lighting designers have refitted two levels of the museum with efficient lighting that is gentle on the exhibits.
Spotlights from Hoffmeister’s gin.o product series are used throughout. These are equipped with specific photometric optics for different lighting tasks. The extensively coloured walls provide the stage for the exhibits staged in narrow-beam accentuated light. Prismatic filters and sculpture lenses – partly in combination with barn doors – provide uniform, wide-area lighting for other wall areas.
The LED luminaires used achieve 900 lumens with a system power of only 14W. The LED modules guarantee that no harmful UV-A, UV-B or UV-C radiation is produced. At 3000K, the LEDs have only a minimal blue component in the range between 430 and 480 nm. This is the basis for the protection of light-sensitive exhibits and a sign of the high quality of the components used.
